How does it do this?
These products rip rock up to 4 times
faster than a hammer. They rip 10 times faster than a single pointed ripper.
They greatly exceed all other designs of frost rock, or ripper buckets on the
market. They rip to all depths leaving relatively flat bottom and side walls in
the trench. The staggered shanks on an arc hit one at a time allowing the
maximum breakout to be applied to each tooth. The tooth force is about 8.5 times
that of a standard 5 tooth bucket because the shanks are short. Also, the shanks
are the same distance from the stick pivot, so the shanks rip a relatively flat
bottom.

The Leading Edge Attachments, Inc.® patented (with additional patents pending) Multi-DigNRipTM Bucket can replace hammers, blasting and rock trenchers, for a fraction of the cost, offered specifically for high production rip and load applications where a wider, higher capacity rock ripping bucket is required. Manufactured in the USA using Hardox armor plate steel, the Multi-DigNRip Bucket is a combination of the high force producing Multi-Ripper® Bucket, and the high capacity of the proven DigNRipTM Bucket. Please note that the front leading edge is such that all teeth engage the material one tooth at a time! The 4th and 5th rippers on the back also engage the rock one at a time, and rip a little deeper, thus removing the grooves from the wider front teeth. The last ripper rips deeper yet, and can be used as a single center pick. This design makes for the highest production rip and load rock ripping bucket on the market!
Below is information related to our tried and true DigNRip Bucket
The ripper teeth in the rear fractures the substrate in sequential order. No two ripper teeth align with each other, so that the maximum breakout force is applied sequentially to each tooth. The castle top shape grooves cut by the front ripper teeth facilitates the fracturing process of the rear teeth. The rolling of the bucket process, by extending the bucket cylinder, always provides the full breakout force so that the substrate is ripped out by the lifting action of each tooth. The result is a relatively flat trench bottom due to the fact that the ripper tooth tips all lie on a constant radius with a center of rotation that is close to the tractor loader backhoe or hydraulic excavator “dipper stick” bucket pivot. The DigNRip bucket will function for any application or material that a single pointed ripper tooth can be used for.
